“Doing it Right” Positive Ticketing for Bike Safety

Refugee Bike Rodeo 3 July 16, 2019.JPG

"Doing it Right" positive ticketing program to increase helmet usage and promote safe wheeled activities in and around Red Deer.

During the summer months, our community partners are on the lookout for people who are seen "Doing it Right" on our streets, sidewalks and trails.  Those seen wearing the gear, displaying safe traffic behaviours or being active in a safe and healthy way will be rewarded with a positive ticket.  Those observed as not "Doing it Right" will be encouraged to change to a safer behaviour.  A free helmet might be offered to that person if they choose to sign a pledge to wear it.

Thank You to our Sponsors of the “Positive Tickets” and major draw prizes.
